Delete, deactivate or unpublish your Space

To delete, deactivate, or unpublish a Space, you must be a Space owner or Space admin with permission to manage Space settings.

If you do not want to permanently delete your Space, you can deactivate it or unpublish it instead. Deactivation and unpublishing are temporary — you can restore your Space later.

Deactivate your Space

Deactivating hides your Space from most shared surfaces. Your Space name and photos are removed from most places they appear, but some references may remain in connections lists and messages you sent.

To deactivate a Space:

1. Sign in to CollectionStation.
2. Open the Space you manage.
3. Go to Settings → Account.
4. Select Deactivate Space, then click Continue.
5. Confirm your password when prompted.
6. Choose a reason for leaving and click Deactivate.

If your break is temporary, you can note how soon you plan to return. Keep access to the email address or phone number you use to sign in so you can reactivate your Space later.

Unpublish your Space

Unpublishing hides your Space from the public Spaces directory and from collectors who do not manage it. Only you and people who manage the Space can see and edit it while it is unpublished.

To unpublish a Space:

1. Sign in to CollectionStation.
2. Open the Space you manage.
3. Go to Settings → Account.
4. Select Unpublish Space, then click Continue.
5. Confirm when prompted.

While your Space is unpublished, do not use it to interact with others on CollectionStation. You can publish the Space again anytime from Space settings → Account.

Delete your Space

Deleting a Space permanently removes it from the Spaces directory. You will not be able to retrieve content or information you shared as that Space. Posts and messages associated with the Space may also be removed.

To delete a Space:

1. Sign in to CollectionStation.
2. Open the Space you manage.
3. Go to Settings → Account.
4. Select Delete Space, then click Continue.
5. Confirm when prompted.

Deletion cannot be undone from the public site.

Reactivate a deactivated Space

If you deactivated your Space, you can reactivate it by signing back in to CollectionStation with the account that manages the Space.

If you chose a temporary deactivation, CollectionStation may restore your Space automatically after the period you selected.

If you do not see these options

You may not see Deactivate, Unpublish, or Delete when:

• You are not signed in.
• You are not a Space owner or Space admin.
• You are viewing the Space as a collector without manage access.

Only Space owners and admins can change account status for a Space.
