Create a Space

Spaces on CollectionStation are for shops, brands, clubs, and public-facing profiles to share updates and connect with collectors. A Space is different from:

  • Groups, which are communities where members share posts and messages around a topic.
  • Your personal collector profile, which is tied to you as an individual.

Anyone with a CollectionStation account can create a Space when signed in as their personal profile. When collectors follow a Space, they can see updates from that Space in their feed.

Create a Space

To create a Space:

  1. Sign in to CollectionStation using your personal profile (not while representing another Space).
  2. Open Spaces from the site header.
  3. Click Create a Space.
  4. Enter your Space Name (required).
  5. Set your Web address — the unique URL slug for your Space on CollectionStation.
  6. Add an optional Space Description and one or more Categories.
  7. Click Create Space.

After you create the Space, CollectionStation walks you through setup:

  1. Add Contact details (website, phone, and email), Location, and Hours, then click Continue.
  2. Upload a Cover image and Space photo, then click Continue.
  3. On Invite people to your Space, invite connections to follow your Space or help manage it, or click Continue to skip.
  4. On Stay informed about your Space, choose whether to receive Space notifications on your profile, then click Finish.

When you finish, CollectionStation opens your new Space.

By creating a Space, you agree to the Pages, Groups and Events Policies.

Customize your Space

Once you have created your Space, you can customize it anytime from Space settings:

  • Adding basic information (name, description, and categories).
  • Adding a Space photo or cover image.
  • Updating contact information, location, and hours.
  • Managing team access to the Space.

If you cannot create a Space

You may not be able to create a Space when:

  • You are not signed in.
  • You are representing a Space instead of your personal profile — switch back to your personal profile first.
  • Your Web address slug is already taken or uses a reserved name.
