Block a collector

When you block a collector on CollectionStation, certain interactions are limited — such as posts on each other's feeds, comments, mentions, messages, and connection requests. Blocking does not remove you from groups you both already belong to, but you will not be able to invite a blocked collector to new groups.

If you are currently connected with that collector, blocking them will remove the connection, stop mutual follows, and cancel any pending connection requests between you.

You can review or unblock collectors anytime from Account settings → Blocked Collectors.

Block a collector from their profile

To block someone on CollectionStation:

1. Go to their profile.
2. Open the More menu (⋯).
3. Click Block, then confirm by clicking Confirm.

After you confirm, CollectionStation removes the connection (if any), clears follows both ways, and adds the collector to your blocked list. A report is also sent to site staff.

You can also block a collector from the Collectors directory or from a profile hover card using the same More → Block flow.

View or unblock blocked collectors

To manage your blocked list:

1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner of CollectionStation.
2. Open Account settings.
3. In the sidebar, click Blocked Collectors.

From this page you can see who you have blocked and when, and click Unblock to restore normal interactions.

What happens when you block a collector

When you block a collector, they will not be able to:

• See your posts in their feed.
• Mention you in posts or comments.
• Invite you to groups.
• Start a conversation with you.
• Send or accept a connection request with you.

You will also stop seeing their posts, and they will be hidden from site search results for you.

Other things to consider

• Groups: If you and a blocked collector are already in the same group, you may still see each other's group posts. Blocking prevents new group invites and direct social actions, but it does not automatically remove either of you from shared groups.
• Messages: If a conversation was already open, messaging becomes unavailable once a block is in place.
• Staff review: Blocking a collector from their profile sends a report to CollectionStation staff. Allow a few minutes for related connection and follow changes to finish updating.
